I don’t know about y’all but I’m loving this new side to Drake. At the end of May 2018, Pusha-T released a diss track called 'The Story Of Adidon', in which he accused Drake of 'hiding a child'.On 'Emotionless' Drake confirms the long-rumored news that he fathered a son with French former adult-film star Sophie Brussaux and explains some of the reasons behind his decision to keep the news quiet. Last time I checked, only God can judge the human heart. We all don’t have the same $999,631.90 it cost Drake to make a couple of dreams come true however, we can give back to our communities with our time and with our God given gifts.ĭrake used several of his God given gifts in this video to impact the lives of people of who look up to him.īetween him giving away heaps of money to people with heart felt stories, surprising a family with a brand new car to providing wrapped gifts to the children of Lotus House, his act of generosity has literally changed lives.ĭrake knew the impact this video would have and how it could potentially change the mind set of how his fans help others. Haters claim that Drake’s charitable giving in the music video is selfish. Don’t get it twisted, giving back doesn’t necessarily come in a monetary state. The words in the Bible, God’s revelation to man define our being, letting us understand the meaning to our existence. Another key subject of the song is the separation. The Bible is God’s love letter to humanity, His plan for our salvation, and the final destiny of the saved. Being who he is in the industry, he knows that people want him to fail however, God wont let him do that. There is power behind giving back and regenerating the good that you receive. The Bible however, is God’s answer, to a hopeless world trying to find its purpose. He even begins and ends the song with this sentiment, letting his haters know that he sees them and what they're doing, but that they're nothing compared to God's plan. Drake went on to release his fifth studio album Scorpion on June 29, 2018. The video embodies a specific/ important message that I am currently learning about life, Giving Back! While Drake keeps referencing God and his plan as the reason for his success, he keeps coming back to talking about the ill-will wished on him. Nice for What would go on to replace God’s Plan as the 1 song on the Hot 100. The philanthropy he exemplified in this video is a true testament to how he has matured throughout his career.
It warms my soul to see someone who has the celebrity and resources as Drake does and merge them to impact the lives of others. Drake dropped the visuals to his single “ God’s Plan“, and I must admit that it brought a couple of tears to my eyes.
